Quick Report for Heart of America STC

May 2009 was a very busy month for HASTC.  Many members and guests participated in "Scottie Meet-Up 2009" hosted by the Heart of America Scottish Terrier Club on May 16 at Lill's on 17th in Kansas City, MO. This experience was designed to educate the public and to provide a social aspect to anyone attending. Scotties were invited and the weather was perfect.

May 15 was the date of our annual specialty show in Gardner, Kansas, in conjunction with the Sunflower KC of Olathe, Kansas.

Following the specialty show, club members and exhibitors attended the luncheon at Austin's Bar and Grill. One of the highlights of the specialty luncheon is to recognize club members with new champions in the past year.  A plaque is awarded for someone's first champion, and there are additional spaces on the plaque to put engraved bars with the dog's name and year it finished its championship, for future champions.
